Hi, I’m Liona Rocca
Liona Rocca, a 20-year-old artist from Solon Iowa, is currently in her Third year at the University of Iowa studying Art and Entrepreneurship. While most of her work is created using her Ipad-Pro and the Procreate app, she also dabbles in traditional mediums such as watercolor, colored pencil, and inks.
Surrounded by art supplies and supported by her mother, her passion for art flourished early on. While Liona received no formal training before college, she in no way credits her skill to being ‘self-taught’. Liona’s skills are the product of a modern age where art education is accessible at the click of a button; in many ways YouTube and the internet were her main source of artistic education, along with handy tips of a skilled mother.
Liona has participated in over 10 exhibits and events centered around her work. Many of these have been gallery exhibits while some have been live drawing events at which Liona draws a person that sits in front of her in 5-10 minutes.
Liona has been able to make a name for herself locally and online. This effort has led to many commissions. Although she has found a great amount of experience at a young age, in many ways her art career has just begun.
